Machining characteristics of high specific gravity tungsten alloy dumbbells
Posted by Admin | 30 Oct
High specific gravity tungsten alloy dumbbells have good machining characteristics and can produce dumbbell products of various shapes. Because tungsten-nickel-iron high-density alloy has good ductility, it can be processed by turning, milling, planing, threading and tapping. Its main processing advantages lie in the variety of processing methods and high processing accuracy. The accuracy of turning high-specific gravity tungsten alloy can reach +/-0.05mm, and turning complex workpieces can be used for pre-processing. High specific gravity tungsten alloy dumbbells can also be processed by grinding. The accuracy of this processing method is higher than that of turning and can reach +/-0.01mm. Grinding mainly processes the surface, chamfers, grooves and other parts of the product. The processing of high specific gravity tungsten alloy dumbbells generally has the following situations:
(1) Use general machine tools such as turning, milling, planing, drilling, and grinding to process counterweight parts.
(2) For counterweights with high precision requirements, it is difficult to ensure high processing accuracy using ordinary machine tools, so precision machine tools are required for processing.
(3) In order to make the processing of counterweight parts, especially complex-shaped model holes and cavities, more automated, CNC machine tools (such as three-coordinate CNC milling machines, machining centers, CNC grinders and other equipment) need to be used to process products.
